Week 14 of 15.
V. Reese promoted her upcoming class on performance and technology which will involve motioin capture of hip hop dancers. Midori reviewed tips of getting our portfolios together for job hunting. We provided the official class surveys. All three of us went to the Motion Capture lab to clean data from the captures on Nov 16, 2005. Dane mentioned that he did not desire to put a version of the movie on the web site or process book.

Wednesday November 16, 2005

We recorded more motion capture performances in the motion capture lab. Cris, as always, acted as the demon. Dane did the directing. Dane and Richard worked the Vicon IQ Motion Capture software. Richard encountered problems while cleaning the performances. For 3 scenes that were cleaned, one or two points would be wildly off (i.e. off the human body.) Labeling went ok, but after the continuity chart was cleaned is when the points went off base.

Week 13 of 15.
Showed the movie so far in class. It is black and white. The actors are integrated with the 3D environment. There was one shot that included the motion captured 3-D demon running after the victim.
Later, we tried to capture more Demon motion captured performance. We had a two hour timeslot but we did not get anything but a Range of Motion (ROM) test completed. After setting up, we encountered a problem using the skeleton file (*.vsk) we had set up in the ROM.

Week 6 of 15
Assignment #2 was due today. Dane, Chris and I (Richard) cleaned a small number of files in Vicon IQ. Vicon IQ is both intuitive and non-intuitive at separate times. When and where it saves trials files is hard to understand. Some data is in files and some (I think) are in a database.

Week 3 of 15
Assignment #1 was due today. Dane and Cris each had a different storyboard and shot list. Dane's was more detailed so we went with that one. The storyboard on our group website was a bad scan. It is of Chris's storyboard.

We started our first captures. We are going with a story about a demon.
